All booking inquiries can be made online on the Retreat Center Scheduler.
Pricing
Retreat Center pricing is as follows:
- $450 Non-Refundable Deposit (required to reserve your stay)
- Applied toward your first night
- $450 For Each Additional Night
Check In/Out Times
Retreat Center check in/out times are as follows:
- Check In: 4PM CST or later
- Check Out: 12PM CST or earlier
- If you need an early arrival or late check out, please contact us for approval
A minimum of 4 hours is required between groups in order to clean the facility and prepare for the incoming group.
How To Pay
Payments are made through our GIVE page.
- Select the GIVE menu item at the top of the page or click the button below.
- Enter the Total Amount Due at the top of the GIVE page, replacing “$0” with your amount.
- Select “Retreat Center” from the Fund dropdown menu.
- Select the “Once” option under Frequency.
- Press the “Continue to give” button or other appropriate payment button.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your transaction.

About Our Building

Our Retreat Center includes:
- 4 Bunk Rooms with Bunk Beds (sleeps 16 – 20 people per room)
- 4 Bathrooms (2 Male , 2 Female)
- Each bathroom includes multiple stalls, showers, and sinks (handicap accessible).
- Kitchen
- Basic pots and pans
- Utensils
- 2 Refrigerators
- 2 Convection cook tops with ovens
- 3 Microwaves
- Pantry containing a variety of items available for use
- Dining Room
- Accommodates 50 – 60 diners
- Additional chairs and tables available
- Hallways and meeting room space may be used as additional dining space
- Large Meeting Room
- Large screen TV (HDMI, AirPlay)
- Sound system (2,500 Watts, Bluetooth, TV audio, Dual XLR inputs (for guest tie-in))
- Other

- The Pastor’s Office and adjacent Video Conferencing Center are not currently available for guests.

Our Retreat Center is walking distance from the beach, convenience stores, and restaurants.
Do’s and Don’ts
- Parking
- Do not park on the paved parking lot
- Parking for the Retreat Center guests is available in grassy areas around the building (there is a ramp on one side and stairs on the opposite side)
- Do not park on the paved parking lot
- Entering/Exiting Building
- Use the double door entry on the North side of the building (single doors are for emergency use only, except kitchen)
- Do not take Retreat Center tables and chairs outdoors
- Please use the Rinse Station (located under the stairs) to wash off sand when returning from the beach or walking/playing in the sand under the Retreat Center
- Leave beach shoes outside
- Bunk Rooms
- Do not move or rearrange bunk beds (will damage floors)
- Avoid locking bedroom doors if possible (doors can remain locked and you may lock yourself out unless you unlock from inside before exiting the room)
- Kitchen/Dining
- Additional chairs and tables are located in the center storage closet (accessible from the Entry Hallway and Dining Room)
- Restrooms
- Please make an effort to keep water within the shower pan
- Do not slam toilet seats/lids
- Indoor/Outdoor Activities
- Please limit interior activities to indoor appropriate games (no dodgeball, baseball, kickball, football, darts, etc.)
- Misc. (limited) outdoor sports equipment available
- Picnic tables are available under the Retreat Center for limited outdoor dining
- Do not light fires (including grilling) under the building or on the deck.
- Grilling is NOT ALLOWED on the Retreat Center deck
- Grills must be 20ft away from the building to avoid code violations/fire
- Cleaning
- Only dry dust mop the Retreat Center floor
- Janitor supplies (including dust mops) are located in the Janitor Closet across the hallway from the kitchen
- Kitchen cleaning products are located under the kitchen sink
- Remove all food from refrigerators/freezers before checking out

What To Bring
While some consumable items will be initially stocked, you may want to bring additional items to use once the initial supply is exhausted. Many groups leave behind items they don’t use (to bless the next group). Miscellaneous items (shampoo, soap, etc.) left by previous guests may be available.
Bedding:
- Twin size bedding and pillows
- Up to 55 twin beds available
- Larger groups may also consider bringing air mattresses, cots, etc.
- Although spring mattresses are fitted with encasements, fitted bottom sheets are still required.

- Seven Seas grocery store is 1 mile West
- Dollar General is about 4 miles East
- Walmart, Kroger, and Randall’s are about 10 miles back East into Galveston
- Outdoor grilling equipment is not provided
- Grills must be located at least 20ft away from the building due to local fire code
- Grilling is NOT ALLOWED on the Retreat Center deck
- Eating Out
- Way West Grill and Pizzeria is located in the shopping center next to the Valero Corner Store (West side of Jamaica Beach)
- Venado’s Mexican Restaurant (East side of Jamaica Beach)
- Mario’s Pizza is located in Pirates Beach about 5 miles East (Delivery or Pick up only)
- All other restaurants are about 10-15 miles back into Galveston
- Gas
- JB’s and Valero Corner Store are 1-2 blocks the West
Cleaning and Maintenance
We kindly request that you clean up and make sure the building is ready for the next guests to arrive. Although our volunteers do their best to ensure the building is cleaned between each group, your help with this is greatly appreciated.
Controlling Sand:
Controlling sand is one of our most difficult challenges. Please use the following checklist to ensure sand encroachment is kept to a minimum.
- Use the Rinse Station located under the stairs
- Leave all beach shoes outside the entry door
- Dry/wipe feet on entry mats
- Longer term stays:
- Periodically clean the exterior mat
- Utilize dry dust mops in high traffic areas
Other:
- Ensure dishes are clean
- Return tables and chairs to their original location
- Place trash in cans by the street (directly across from double entry door)
- Only use black trash bags (per Jamaica Beach code)
- Dispose of white bags by placing them inside a large black trash bag
